Maps 01:42
at night i run with the ghosts of the failures from my past. my mistakes left me scarred with a map of trial-and-error-routes. i'm not afraid to get hurt defending what i hold dear...if only i knew what's worth investing my heart and energy in. i run with my ghosts, reminders of lessons learned. "turn wounds into wisdom" they whisper through their sharpened teeth. i don't regret having scars. they're part of life. one day i might come to terms with what i've become.

i wish i could agree when they say "in the end it all made perfect sense". congratulations if your life is one clean straight line. or are you maybe just blackening the parts you don't want in your history? the ruptures, dead ends. the places you wish you never went. set the record straight. lie to yourself. erase the memories. the inconvenient past, the misfit tragedies. destroy the picture life has drawn. paint over the mistakes. replace it with a fairy tale. let's set the record straight: if life has taught me anything then it was that it's a fickle bitch.

Hope 01:24

The Alarmist 04:41
we watch the sky with glued-shut eyes, pretending to know what's behind. and yes, i try with all I have to keep my head above the ground. we saw a lot of of clouds go by but i know one is here to stay. (it has been there as long as i can remember.) i hold on to the desperate hope that hope alone might be enough...that the promise of the morning light would keep us warm throughout the night. "keep your chin up" is easier said than done. because sometimes there's a voice in me that tells me how i'm fortunate because i already know what's coming next. eventually, i know, she'll walk away.

Desperation 02:33
6.
as i awake i find myself on an empty beach just before sunrise. surrounded by majestic cliffs i realize: the vast black ocean is waiting for me to say goodbye to everything i've ever come to know and let the tide carry me to uncharted territories. cut the strings that tied me to this world. give in to the undertow. leave behind all the desperate battles i fought. i'm never coming back here. maybe there is something deep down there that will serve me with some purpose. just maybe there is something at the bottom that will save me somehow. something that gives meaning to my hollow life.

Indifference 02:29
8.
the tiniest dot, surrounded by black. a sprout in a desert, and on it are we, knowing that our days are numbered and we are dead from the start. so let's find some trouble to forget that our bodies rot. let's drink till morning, let's fuck all night. invent opinions, discuss who's right. locked up in bodies, encased in flesh, we're yearning to find confirmation that not all our efforts are meaningless and all our wars were not futile. a long forgotten stage, the indifference of space: that's all we'll ever have. the only home we know of. our days are numbered, we're doomed from the start. our stage is so small, but keep playing your part. it's not over yet, keep it up. keep playing till it's over.

Passion 00:53
10.
each day is another song yet to be written, sung to an unknown melody. we've got to make up the words as we go along. the ability to improvise is required to sing this song. i guess i'm beginning to see the spark of a new day on the horizon and it is up to me now to decide whether i'm going to embrace or despise it. sing this song. come on, sing along. who cares if you don't sing in tune as long as it's honest? just scream your heart out. each day's another part of your theme song, of your personal anthem. we don't know the melody. but who cares if you sing in tune as long as it's passionate and true? as long as the music plays there is hope. sing along.
11.
always the same approach i choose to take: i hide the keys for you in a place you might find. come in and tell me what you see. i tried to clean this place of the garbage of past years. i really want you to feel at home in here so feel free to rearrange the furniture as you please. ("oh no! the whole building's unstable! the walls come crashing down! get out, get out, save yourself!")

Mazes 06:52
i'm so fucking sick and tired of hating who i am, of burying myself under the weight of my existence, of clouds blocking my sight of a sun that's always there, of giving up before i started. can i pick myself up and get out of the quicksand? break the cycle of self-hate? let go of my past mistakes? i'm waiting for the day when the sun will break through these massive clouds. until that day i'll spend my nights running with my ghosts.
